Guest guest
I'm so glad there are a few of us getting the wand who have 11 year olds! I'm wondering if this modality might be helpful for extreme sound sensitivity. Jack's ears often trigger behaviors. Some of it is learned, but there is pain there too. We've done Berard AIT with no outcome (positive or negative). I know everything is connected (gut to ear for example) but I'm thinking that I might be able to use the wand directly over the ears to bring some relief. Thoughts? Thanks, Amy
Guest guest
Amy...we also did Berard and no positives either. I do feel that it actually made a bit worse in that it brought back the covering ears, etc. But that subsided once we began working on infections. I think using it anywhere you have an issue is worthwhile. I used it on 's ears because he has been complaining for months about being more sensitive to sound. It seems to have helped him. I asked him and he said it was all better. I'm so glad there are a few of us getting the wand who have 11 year olds! I'm wondering if this modality might be helpful for extreme sound sensitivity. Guest guest
Amy, Just to add to Tami, I've seen many really great things with QN concerning this....I believe it will carry over with the AMwand project DrG is working on. Some of the things that you see with QN to help with noise sensitivity would be working with the cranial area while snapping your fingers next to the ear as there is neurological connection. There are other things that I've experienced them doing which would be things like fluffing the hair on the head (hard to explain till you see it done by a QN), and working the head neck area while swallowing, doing specific verbal noises ( has them memorized....ahh ahh ahh...nook nook all while shes working the cranial/neck area...it's my understanding that these are cranial nerve 10 sensitivities). Story....one of the little girls I take care of (13 mo) has had repeated ear infections and was having a lot of trouble walking. The doc told the mom (my good friend) that the next ear infection they are looking at tubes (not real open to dietary intervention even though I've mentioned 2x to consider pulling dairy...listens mainly to mainstream docs including all vaccs). She got another cold & was heading into an ear infection when I got my wand a couple of weeks ago. Her mom was up all night with her sick & was highly considering bringing her into the doctor that afternoon...when I got there she was very fussy. I had brought my wand and wanded her ear/head/neck area when I was feeding her bottle (activating the swallowing movements to help trigger the ear drainage). I also had her push her push toy when I wanded her to assist her walking....at first she did her usual drop to the floor after just a couple of steps and fussed when getting up not wanting to try again. Within a few minutes she was happily pushing the toy while I followed wanding her. She was much less fussy & her mom did not end up taking her to the doc. She was better the next day as I continued wanding her. She pushed her toy much more than she had been the next day & by that weekend she started consistent walking. I've continued to wand her as I watch her both with her bottle & walking & she's not had a cold or ear infection in a few weeks (having come from at least 1 ear infection a month we are so pleased)....the mom also mentions she is sleeping better & wants me to send her more info on the wand. So, my point in telling this is as I've watched QN & talked to the docs you learn that the best way to activate our bodies is to work with the body moving. Wand them while reading (activates brain & eye tracking), swallowing (works many sensory fields), moving cards up/down, side to side, swirls). I fully believe all of this will be on DrG's DVD as this is what I've seen used on many children doing QN excersizes. This has strengthen 's nervous system including eye & noise sensitivities. Sorry for the length of this....it's really hard to explain but when you've seen it multiple times you catch what they are doing....looking forward to DrG's DVD.
