Guest guest
(I'm re-posting because I don't think the message went through) Thanks for all of the suggestions! I saw L-Tyrosine at the market yesterday and wondered about it. I've been hesitant to take anything that might interfere with test results. Is it at all possible for any of these supplements to affect thyroid labs? If not, I'll be running out for them at lunch :-) I am going through tests all over again with a new doc and am a little gun shy. Even with labs that reported below normal T3 but normal TSH, my previous doc dismissed my symptoms and suggested that I switch birth control type and take anti-depressants. (Yes, I ran as fast as I could to another doc!). So now I'm waiting for labs and have an ultrasound scheduled for Monday. Appreciate all the advice. It's great to have found the list. -Kim
Guest guest
I beleive Tryptophan is the same hormone that is plentiful in poultry protein, especially turkey! Have a warm turkey sandwich and I'd think it'll knock you out about the same way a supplement will. In any case, freshly roasted, warm turkey puts me to straight to sleep. :-) > Unless you are having sleeping problems, I don't recommend Tryptophan. > > > > > I did a search for L-Tyrosine and on one website that sells it it says > > " L - Tyrosine, along with Tryptophan, " > > > > What is Tryptophan?? Guest guest
I saw it in my local grocery store... but I would shop around for the best price before I bought it there. It's not cheap. -Kim > Thanks . Can I buy L-Tyrosine at GNC or Walgreen's or do I have to order it online? > ~Leah > >
Guest guest
Ok, this is good to know. Thanks very much. :-) > What they do is not considered interfering.
