It never occurred to me that Winn Dixie was a southern company. I should

have known with " Dixie " in the name. I am in Birmingham, Alabama

Winn Dixie is Headquartered in ville, FL. I work for WD in the

Information Systems area. The Dixie came from Dixie Food Stores in the

Carolinas in the late 40's. the Winn from the origional stores the

family purchased 50+ years ago.

Debbie,

Exactly :-) My hubby has been living up north for about 30 years, but when

I mentioned that he'd lived here longer than in the south, he said he'd

always be a southerner at heart :-)

Sandy,

If he was born and raised in the south then he is and always will be a

southerner :)
