Guest guest
-- Dave, I echo the welcome of others and hope we can help each other. Tell us exactly what you do, work and home life. We all can contribute in some way, for me I'm just a real estate agent, former interior decorator and my husband, Bob 58 yrs. ileo 65, psc 99, owns a hair salon, so we don't contribute much medically, but do encourage others and are supportive of the wonderful people here. We have people who are from other countries too. We have all ranges of people, one you will appreciate in addition to Aubrey, is Andi. She is our research expert ask for anything and she can find it. You will find a venue for all your feelings and questions. We have some shorthand and you will pick that up as you go along. One thing, if you need something ASAP put it in subject and don't be alarmed if someone doesn't answer, just ask again. Sometimes we just assume someone has answered. Dee in Peoria Wife of Bob who I am thankful will celebrate his 59 tomorrow and will be so surprised with the Black & Decker electric saw he saw advertised on TV (at least it isn't a Ginseng knife set or one of those snake flashlights). Guest guest
Hi Liz welcome! Well for me I dont remember much. I did request my own room, that was honored. Make sure you are clear with your doc and family on what meds you are taking now,.doses etc. They prescribed a lower dose for me the last few days and I had to get that straightened out. I was a terrible patient so I was told at least! ------------------------------ >My name is Liz and I have been reading the site for a couple months. I had Chiari 1 and was decompressed with duraplasty in Jan. I am now scheduled for detethering of spinal cord Aug 6. I'm wondering what the post-op pain and laying flat on your back is like the first 24 hrs. Hopefully I will be drugged enough I won't mind being on my back. I'm dreading this one more than the decompression. I don't know why. I just don't want to experienc a lot of pain. How's it been for some of you? Blessings, Liz >
