Guest guest
I am still confused on exactly when to take the Glucophage. On the bottle it says with a meal or milk. I am not a breakfast eater (or wasn't) and so sometimes I would wait till 10:30-11 to eat and take my pill. I thought perhaps it was hard on the stomach. I was taking it with milk (which I love) but found the milk raised my bg's. E , I know that panic attack feeling. That is one reason I am glad that I have that extra " pen " anytime my sugar goes over a certain point. I haven't had to use it for over a week now. Sometimes I think just being afraid of a high sugar makes my sugar start to go up. Remember you are very stressed out and stress is a factor. When I was on Glucophage my doctor told me that it was important that I take it 30 to 45 mins before a meal. That it was supposed to work on the food I was about to eat and that taking it later was like closing the barn door after the cow is out. Again, just my experience. Having that extra pen of Humalog in my purse is like carrying around an umbrella in my trunk.
