Guest guest
i haven't even had time to give you jim and jason's update from today's clinic: briefly, the guys had their bloodwork done (after a horrific wait), jason got all 19 staples out, and jim got the site of his JP drainage tube re-stitched (this time by a surgeon -- and it worked in stopping most of the worst leaking). jim also was prescribed a slight diuretic for a few days, which should help alleviate a bit of his fluid problems. jim will return to clinic on thursday. we don't have the results of the labs yet, but assume all is well with jim, 'cause he looks marvelous. they will be phoning us with the lab results on the guys' blood. when we finally returned, i crashed and burned into a very hard sleep... and awakened much later to jillian with a roaring 102 temp, painful sore throat, shallow breathing, nausea, etc. she cannot even whisper, poor thing, and the tylenol she took was promptly upchucked. this all came on extremely suddenly. she did receive a flu shot a ways back, so i really don't suspect flu. i gave her an alcohol rub and that was an immediate relief to her. jessica and i are continuing our good care of her (although she is banned from jim and maureen's room, obviously), and i'm on my way to our family's third pharmacy visit, this time for some chloraseptic. we're once again asking you to keep praying :-( love and thanks, maureen
