Hi to all- I have used vinegar to do all equipment used with nebulisers for over 30 years.

I also washed tubing out with soapy sudsy water, then rinsed with cold water, then boiling water, and yes air blown dry- always keep mine, and all the people I care for nebuliser, or oxygenator etc gear in large lidded ice cream container--

Its commonly used to cut grease and grime as many know, but it is used to clean fungal skins rashes and is also quite good with tinea, and psoriases.

I also used lemon to do same when out of vinegar .

fabulous for round sinks and wherever plugs go.

When using mucamist etc - it leaves very sticky reside under and around where it is used- vinegar works wonders.

Wont hurt when cleaning the sticky arms on arm chairs or good timber either.

While I am here a banana skin will also clean things very well- you wouldn,t believe how acidy they are.

Try leaving a banana or the skin on a painted surface without placing something underneath.

The banana strips the paint clean off --

We used vinegar in the rinse water for all the kids hairs- always lovely and shiny and when nits raged- we were always the ones who never had a problem, for the fairer heads in the family still use lemon with a little oil about a tsp oil to half a lemon in a pint of hot water let to cool to tepid. .

My youngest daughter is 35 suffered with psoriases in her late teens and after all the special creams, all the over counter, prescribed meds.

We began to treat it as I was treating my ears, with vinegar.

Worked amazingly.

Like lemon and cooking oil - magic simple potions used to treat so many things. especially feet, knees, elbows.

Joy I do not know how you cope living where you do.

I am having huge problems with my asthma and my arthritis etc with the rotten hellish weather here- the humidity is almost killing me.

Anyone and everyone with asthma or breathing probs here are filling the pharmacies, surgeries etc.

Hospital having to order double the various size tubings-- and masks-- for hospital and home nebulising--

We pray for rain- but we need a full week of it here or else we just steam.

Oh my golly cannot wait for easter- we then have perfect weather- this is just stifling.

Joy the steroid injections, can sometimes hurt a little depends where on body you need them.

I like Lee have had many- and yes too many- as I often have stated here on the very last day of having the last of 4- a series into my shoulder for frozen shoulder- it was when my specialist of many years, literally stopped in tracks, ran out and came back in with other doctos, - suddenly they knew what was happening to me-- was it too late for me =yes.

It was what was causing my brittle bones, my crumbling teeth.

The many years of steroid treatments.

Of course mostly the prednisone- BUT all the cortisone treatments too.

If for the first time you should be great--- works wonders for most things.

Poor Lee I remember when she had the heel and foot problem-- sorry Lee- ouch.

I had the injections for tennis elbow in my 30's, then my knees, then again for elbows ( this one didn,t work)- but the frozen shoulder- it did work and thank goodness- BUT they said they only are permitted to do 3, in the series, but in my case they did 4.

Still didn"t work but 3 of the 5 were done with a local anaesthetic, other two no- because they needed to have me feel it to be sure they got the right spot cos it was to be my last try.

Then about 5 years passed and another bout of shoulder, and well nurses had to hold me down and in they went - into the shoulder- BUT I was told they were not going to use as big a dose- but as I say last minute last injection stopped.

" this is whats causing all the problems -- we need to discuss this with you and a family member- because we must concur this does give you an option to sue this hospital-- where I had been receiving all treatments for past 20 years.

They work wonders Joy, just remind them all you know the lasting side effects that can be caused, so they do know you yourself know too much--to not take note of lol.

Especially now you are a rep lol.

I am always asked to sit in on all kinds of things other than my rep job- simply because yes, I can and do represent many others as their advocate, or their allied person.

Joy do you also attend the monthly and bi monthly meetings besides your 3 monthly ones ? I do, and have been going to ask you for a month now.

Have you been to the 1st one for 2010.

How did it go- did you feel good about the position-- oh boy- keep yourself armed - like I do-- between us they will realise that some people have had to research and come up with their own treatments for so long- due to lack of decent understanding of the illnesses related to bronch- well indirectly of course.

A few of my teen grandchildren are doing human science at TAFE- (3 of them). and they are always coming home with lots to say-- about COPD- and the relationship with immune system, respitory tract, eyes, ears nose throat and the connections to asthma, bronchitis, hay fever and sinus--

We now have one of the grandkids wanting to go into psychiatry and another wants to do forensic science with coroner- and the other wants do be a nutritionist.

I had been trying to steer toward radiography etc- but not at all sorry now- they are all so keen--

To all take care in the heat and of course to those where its col- well take care but somehow at the moment I think I would love to swap for a week-

Whatever the weather DRINK plenty of water .

My mail carrier got Plantar Fasciitis and did physical therapy exercises at home to get rid of it and keep it from coming back.
