Guest guest
According to the Jewish Medical Research Center in Denver, CO, you should wash your breathing devices everyday after its last use with a dishwasher liquid soap in warm water including the Accapella. Afterwards rinse in clean water. Every other day boil the Pari breathing devices in water for 10 minutes. The Accapella needs to be soaked once a week in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for 5 minutes. Guest guest
hi Roland, Thx for that info - it took me quite some searching to find out. My pari neb booklet recommends soaking in bicarb & vinegar in soapy water every 2 day, and every month boiling - on hot plate or microwave. unfortunately, no matter now long in hospital, how many moves same neb goes with you )from ED to ward to ward...) and is never washed. I only realised the seriousness of this when I started using my own neb and was keen to do it right. cheers, joy
