Andi,

I don't know much about the VA. Wouldn't you have to give your permission - before the transplant doctors could read it? Surely the records being online doesn't mean the public has access does it? Barb

Andi,

The pigs give you - your only hope? They were cute, but not your only hope! Surely you can't believe this. Why wouldn't or couldn't you consider getting your transplant from a donor like the rest of us? Not everyone has a living donor or even wants one. They aren't giving up. Every year thousands of people get new livers from donors the "old fashioned" way. Aubrey, Tim, Darin, , Phil, Quantell and are just a few group members who got theirs. Not one had a living donor.

Please Andi, be happy - look on the bright side, have faith and don't worry. Your turn will come. When it does, you'll be writing to us about not having enough time every day to do all the things you want to. Like going for rides in your jeep in sunny California with several new cats and the wind in your hair. Or planning a trip back to Japan. BIT

I have been so depressed for the last year and so scared. I feel like I only have a few years left and then thats it. Something like this would be my only hope. Andi

Thank you for asking. I took my last antibiotic today, but am still having the chills, no fever, I chill and perspire at the same time. The Dr. prescribed Amitriptyline to help me sleep, it helps but still wake up with the itching. I was wondering if you could take Atarax in the afternoon, then Amitriptyline at night. I am taking Neurontin at bedtime also, so I don't want to get too much. Have others noticed how you can hardly stand for your clothes to touch your body. I go to in St. Louis the 19th of March, so maybe they will have some ideas.

Thanks

Martha

No Andi, I didn’t

see my name in front of your post.

I thought all

posts were public, I must be wrong about that.

Several of us

have been having problems getting posts

in a timely

manner. I thought I had missed something.

I won’t trouble

you anymore. Barb in Texas
