Here is a snippet of our codes...the ones most used. We have probably 140

codes, but I shall share the most common...

Just put a 10 in front of the codes...

2-squad needed

3-officer in trouble

4-p.i. crash

5-bomb threat

6-breaking and entering

7-stabbing/cutting

8-drowning (NOT USED A LOT THANK GOD)

9-Homicide (2 this yr so far)

10-man with a gun

11-man with a knife

12-robbery

13-aggravated robbery

14-shooting

15-suicide

20-emergency response..(run hot)

21-non injury crash

24-hit skip crash

25-dwi driver

26-disturbance

28-domestic violence

29-fight in progress

30-mental subject

31-prowler

35-intoxicated person

36-juvenile complaint

37-sex crime

45-suspicious person

51-missing person (adult)

61-wrecker needed

65-burglary

66-trespass

80-property damage

85-road hazard

90-missing juvenile

this list goes on and on..as you can see by the skip in numbers. interesting

to see the variety on here....also..it is interesting how adjacent counties

codes can differ. One of my biggest gripes is when another agency either

sends a teletype, or talks on stateband, uses codes, thinking that all

agencies use the same codes. Plainspeak works best on the radio or in tty's,

so that all can understand....Again, just my two cents worth....

happy day...be safe~~

As a " ham " I'm interested in any other " Q " signals you might use.
