Guest guest
Hi, I've just found/joined this list and am only a couple of hours away from trying my first flush using one from Cabot's liver and bowel book. It's essentially lemon juice and olive oil with a touch of garlic and ginger (for taste??). I had three horrific episodes of pain -- all within a week -- about three months ago and an ultrasound found a small polyp in my gallbladder. The GP sent me straight to the surgeon who put the fear of God into me and told me the gallbladder had to come out. He mentioned (and I'm sure I read it somewhere) that a polyp could be a stone and I also recall reading somewhere that stones don't always show on ultrasound, so maybe I'm riddled with them (the scan report said no stones visible). I'm 40, male, and have a pretty sedentary lifestyle and over the years have eaten all the wrong things. To complicate things I've been on lipid lowering medication for about 20 years and for the past five years have been on warfarin after having two blood clots in my calves. It turns out I'm genetically pre-disposed to clotting and will be on warfarin for life. Anyone else in the same boat ... I'd love to hear.
