Guest guest
Hi ya all! I'm know as honey to a wonderful man of many years, mom to five wonderful children, four married one in college. And grandma to seven and two more coming in spring,My friends call me Cyndy. I live in the middle of the USA,Kansas. And it freezing cold right know. I love to sew, crochet, quilt, and clothing, actually anything I can get my hands on. I love to cook, gardening, paint and sketch, and do some clay work. Before I got fibro, I catered ,did farm work , cutt down trees in my sons business, rode motorcycle, and mudslinging, just a touch of the ice burg examples. Fibro has kicked me around alot, I have my great ups and great crashing downs. There is days I'm not so sure what to do with myself , because I just Can't. In the past year I have had a total hip replacement, two knee surgerys, and Oh God I can't list it all. I have lost friends over this and really have noone to talk to now, I get looked down at,like I don't know what. Today is a small down day, I normally am pretty giddy and up lifting. I got way to cold yesterday, because someone didn't understand.and or listen. I have great doctors, I'm not on any meds except super doses of tyenol, was on viox, Usda reject, then went to celebrex also Usda reject, I'm at my wits end with meds. I do some herbal teas, cammomile to help sleep which only helps on lighter days, and cranberry tea, green tea, but like I said I'm at my ends witts with it all. well I have blabber on enough! Thank you for letting me join the group! It well be a great appreciation from me. Cyndy
Guest guest
Cyndy, welcome to the group. I'm sure you will find support and understanding here. I sure have. I have had fibro for about 3 years now, diagnosed for about 1 year. I have a daughter who is 15 today! I have a son who just turned 5 last week and a son who is 3 1/2. So I am an old lady mom to toddlers and a hormonal daughter! haha. Fibro is hard and makes you give up alot in your life. As far as loosing friends, isn't that strange? Montel , who has MS, said the same things that he only has his real friends left. Which is so true. Your friends will stick by you. Your true friends. But I'm going to look on the side of those false friends. It may not be that they do it on purpose but say we used to swim and mountain climb with them. We can no longer do that. So, when they go mountain climbing and swimming, they don't invite us. They don't choose to be mean to us but if we cannot do it, then we can't go with them. So, thus it begins. WE are slowly cut out of their lives. There are some " friends " who don't want to hear us Whine when they ask how we are doing and we actually tell them instead of smiling and saying " fine " ! Those are the ones we don't need. I know, I've lost friends through this. It's hard but something I deal with. I still have my real friends and they will always be there. I hope!! Margaret, mom to the monsters Yet another new one here. > > > > Hi ya all! > I'm know as honey to a wonderful man of many years, mom to five > wonderful children, four married one in college. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. > > 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help.
