Guest guest
Milk and turkey before bedtime will make you so sleepy, even if you have to have your milk in hot cocoa, try to have it warm. Both milk and turkey contain some substance in them and the two mixed is great for insomnia!! Also chamomile tea, a warm bath, and a cool room with 2 warm blankets is all good for sleep Good luck, I personally, take ambien ( a sleeping pill) and it is wonderful Monika Re: Re: Suggestions on a good night rest >Warm bath with some lavender scented soap or bubble bath. Guest guest
I do the same thing with the Bendryl . :-) I buy the childrens but the yummy cherry flavor of course lol. Actually I bought an off-brand one equivalent to it. My sinuses are always a mess now. Not in my nose much - just the sinuses. I feel like I have allergies all year. But I also get very dry from other things.. such as Sjogrens - I am so dry it wakes me up almost every night - my throat and eyes hurt. I need to get a humidifier. The warm blanket is a great idea! xo li ----- Original Message ----- Children's Dye-Free Allergy Benadryl. I take a "swig" of that and thatusually helps. Guest guest
You sure are right about that turkey Monika! The week after Thanksgiving, I ate a lot of leftovers and was so sleepy after I ate it. ;-) Maybe we should all eat turkey at bedtime.. ;-) xo li ----- Original Message ----- Milk and turkey before bedtime will make you so sleepy, No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
That's what I had to do - go to a higher dose. But then my doc pointed out "what's next when that doesn't work?" So I actually got off of it and now take Mirapex. I do still take Ambien once in a while, when I know I have to get up early the next morning. lol! They might make a grape flavor - not sure. ;-) I do like the liquid too because I do what you do - just take a swig when I need it - I can control the dose then. xo li - off to bed ----- Original Message ----- Ambien stopped working for me... maybe I need a higherdose...(?)And yuck, anything "cherry flavored" is yucky. Guest guest
Hi, I have been on ambien for 2 years, when it stops working, the Dr. told me to go off for 1 or 2 nights and then it works just like I had never taken it before! It works every time! Monika Re: Re: Suggestions on a good night rest Ambien stopped working for me... maybe I need a higherdose...(?)And yuck, anything "cherry flavored" is yucky. Guest guest
Mirapex is actually a drug they start Parkinson's patients out on, for shaking. My doc gave it to me to see if it will help with restless leg syndrome. I get it pretty bad sometime's. It has conquered that and also helps a lot with sleep! I like it. It just makes me feel relaxed... not sleepy per se, definitely not narcoticy... but just sleepy and relaxed. I can still wake up at night, but it seemsIi am better able to go back to sleep. I was taking Ambien and Xanax for sleep for years, but since this, I got off those and use Mirapex only. I keep the Ambien handy though if I want to make sure I fall asleep at a certain time and have to get up early... We know how unstable the Fibro and for me; Lupus, can be. You might be tired but go to bed then bam - hurt like heck or wake up... So tonight I am taking both. Need to get up early and really should have gone to bed already - an hour ago. :-P xo li ----- Original Message ----- What is Mirapex? Tigger No virus found in this outgoing message.
