I had this done recently, and it showed my gallbladder was only ejecting bile @14% efficiency (if I understand it correctly). One medical site said they rec. surgery for anything under 15%. My hmo insurance (read: affordable health care) is up in August, w/no foreseeable cheap alternatives. Do I go ahead and schedule surgery? I'm still up from a mild attack (I do well for a week, then forget and go back to bad eating...).AmyCollected testimonials:http:///messages/gallstones-testimonialsYou are receiving this email because you elected to subscribe to the Gallstones group on 's groups. Bit of emphasis here?

I think I share your thoughts. All too many people get caught

up in the surgery scam and willingly lie down on the table. For whatever

reason they simply don't believe that their liver and gallbladder can get

well if they flush things out and change their dietary rules. The

same people who understand that the body can heal a broken bone turn around

buy into the medical baloney that gallbladders can't heal. I guess

somebody has to help with those Lexus & condo payments, eh?

What are you gonna' do?

Regards,

Rex Harrill

Amy, it took me about a year before I realized I was going to have to cut back on bad food. I still have more than I should, but I am more clued to what is really best. I wouldn't let your insurance running out scare you into surgery. Do what you have to do, but you are going to have to change your diet anyway! Take care.

Hi Amy,

If you haven't already, you may want to go to some more sites and read up on

the many success stories of people who have avoided surgery. Of course,

there's the links at the bottom of every post on this list. Additionally,

here's a couple of links I've gotten from this list.

http://www.dr-zhang.com/home.htm

http://www.liverdoctor.com/

The big difference between the conventional medical model and alternative

medicine is that the Doctors study several years and everyone is supposed to

trust them completely, whereas in alternative medicine we get information

wherever we can and make our own decisions. In the medical world the

doctors are responsible for our health and we try to sue them if we don't

like the results they get. In alternative health we take responsiblity for

and ownership of our health. There are risks either way, but I for one feel

there are less risks with alternative health. You have to decide which is

best for you. What ever you do, don't decide hastely on surgery before you

spend some time on the net researching all the ways people have found to be

better off without surgery. Surgery is irreversable. Some have researched

and found surgery necessary. I feel for them. At least you can make a more

informed decision with more information.

I wish you the best.
