in our letters of acceptance it stated where you would be working. I

will be in at the Summit County Justice Center, which is just outside Park

City. We all received a newsletter via email about the 12 of December in ref

to our transportation arraignments and an email address to send this

information to. I will try to copy and post the information into this email.

The below address is to send the information to and what to title the email,

also if traveling by private vehicle they need that info also.

VOLUNTEER DISPATCHER TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION

This is the email newsletter that we all received.

Hello everyone,

My name is Garry Dunn from the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002

Winter Olympic Games (SLOC). For those of you that don't already know me, I

am doing some work with Whimpey, whom is the Volunteer Recruitment

Co-coordinator for the Utah Olympic Public Safety Command (UOPSC).

By now everyone should of received a postal envelope from UOPSC with your

accreditation application and a dispatcher agreement. If you have not already

received this envelope please reply to this email indicating such.

Attached to this email is a document with some further information relating

to your Olympic assignments. Please review the document and complete the

necessary responses as quickly as possible.

Thankyou for your support in volunteering for this event, and I hope you

enjoy your time in Salt Lake City.

I have also recieved my packet from the Summit County Sheriffs as to what

type of schedule they are looking at along with information on the radio

system, CAD system, 10 codes and misc terms that they would like us to be

familiar with. I just received that 2 days ago. Hope this helps.

" Newsletter " mkay not have been the right term, it was an email sent out by

Garry Dunn on to everyone on Dec12th with a short attachment. Those of us

assigned to Park City have been getting packets and schedules so I assume

the rest of you will too.

Ok, I got that. Got the packet in the mail on 12-31. Looks like I'm going

to SLC to the Summit County SO. 12 hour shifts, ugh. I'm working 10hr

shifts now but they say they will be giving enough time for off duty

activities.

Get a decent trade bag set up. About 30 state patrol patches (we don't have

any patches, badges etc) some posters, key chains, ice scrapers. Maybe some

other items. Really looking forward to this.

This part concerns me greatly. We've never used a CAD system. Our current

logging program is MS Access. It's homemade and seems adequate but it has

very limited use.

That Spillman site is about totally worthless. No screen shots worth a

darn. Anyone else use Spillman that could provide a web site or FAQ or

something that would help me?
