Guest guest
Limin, Bayho sells Zinc citrate 30mg by Vital Nutrients that is free of coating, binders, dairy, wheat, eggs, soy, corn, yeast, sugar, starch, preservatives and hydrogented oil, the only ingredients are rice and zinc citrate. Do you think citrate works the same as the picolinate ? Olga
Guest guest
Olga, If I cannot find a clean brand of zinc picolinate, the next form of zinc I will search for a clean brand is zinc carnosine. Zinc picolinate is the most absorbable form of zinc, and picolinate helps with metal chelation. Zinc carnosine stabilizes gut mucosa and stimulates the proliferation of healthy cells in the gut; by doing so it helps with gut repair process. My son now takes zinc picolinate and carnosine separately. Perhaps I just replace this combo with zinc carnosine. Guest guest
Limin, Last night I googled quite e few websites and it seems like every company that makes zinc picolinate uses things we are avoiding, so I think now I will look into zinc carnosine like you. My son is having Zinc carnosine by Premier Research labs(less tha 1/4 teaspoon daily 500mg) daily, how much are you giving to your kid? and zinc picolinate by 30mg by Metabolic maintenance, unfortunatelly it has vitamin C derived from corn and now I had to stop it. What is your opinion about liquid zinc by Metametrix? I have started giving him lots of organic pumpkinseeds blended in his green drinks and also in his smoothies and he has not noticed anything, so this is another good way to get a bit of zinc into the diet.
