Guest guest
Sorry to hear that . Can you consider a part payment plan ? Over the years it would be well worth it , the other problems will go away .Clearance is really the keystone to managing bronchiectasis. Especially as she's so young, every time we get an infection it adds more scarring and creates more crevices to catch and fester the mucous. In the meantime Can you give her chest percussion ? Has someone shown you? You can do a lot with gravity and deep breathing. There are massaging/vibrating vests /belts that are marketed for muscle relaxation about $20-$100. They're a great help.Put out a call to the Universe, e bay, pulmonologist , hospitals, sometimes "used" Vest machines become available. You'd just have to get a child's jacket from Hill -Rom about $70.Let me know if you need to know more. To: bronchiectasis Sent: Thu, April 1, 2010 2:02:05 PMSubject: Re: laura/ No my child does not have the vest and likely will not. I spoke with the company that sells them today and they have never had a case of a canadian insurance company covering the costs. I cannot afford the cost on my own. I don't believe that she has been tested for those other two things, I will bring that up with her doctor that we see next week.
