Guest guest
Hi, Has anyone read the book, Saving Sammy? His story was also on Mystery Diagnosis a couple of times in the past week. I had untreated Lyme's while pregnant with my daughter, Emma, now 8. She has autism. Back years ago--when we took her to see a pediatric infectious disease doc, she told us that there was no connection, basically that it didn't cross the placenta into the womb. A couple of weeks ago, I saw an obituary in our local paper concerning a baby who was stillborn as a result of complications from Lymes Disease. Emma started doing a weird leg-bicycling motion at 4 months old...and it persists today while she is under stress.... What do you all think? The docs all said testing wasn't necessary. Emma has made remarkable progress, and is doing very, very well.....but, could she be CURED???? Thank you-- Britt in Maine

Guest guest
Different doctors have different opinions. Even medical science is very grey, disagreeing on so many things. We think that everything our doc says is true because he's a doc. But, that is not true at all. Even the most amazingly successful docs will not always be correct. We need to think for ourselves, deciding on who to believe and what to believe from whomever we believe some things from. (Not saying this is your scenario, just throwing it out there.) There are many docs who feel that Lyme plus gobs of other pathogens and toxins cross the placenta. Because immune-suppressing pathogens like Lyme often cause no symptoms till months or even many years down the road, it is not noticed that our babies are being born infected. This is a huge reason these pathogens are being transmitted without our knowledge. Just like HIV does not cause symptoms till years later. It's because it's immune-suppressing. I support the view that Lyme is transmitted via pregnancy as well as many other pathogens and toxins. There are so many families all testing positive for the same pathogens, that one has to realize that the pathogens are being transmitted via family members. But, oddly, they get different symptoms. This is the nature of immune-suppressing pathogens. Because they effect the immune system, the symptoms vary depending upon that person's other exposures, diets, genetic weaknesses, stress, etc. I saw a U-tube video where the whole family had Lyme, one had asthma, one had heart problems, one has Asperger's, and all lost their symptoms after treatments from antibiotics. None remember getting a tick-bite. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > Hi, > > Has anyone read the book, Saving Sammy?
