Guest guest
i'll be curious as to what others have to say but my "very viral kid" goes through ravenous eating jags i think it is just prior to a viral flare. I try to "load" her early in the day with larger portions including fats. If I beat her to the punch + offer food often then i'm not going crazy running around trying to fill the unfillable on her schedule which gets very old very quickly. try plenty of water + a friend of mine would buy huge bags of frozen vegetables for her kid to much on straight out of the freezer, also you might consider big bags of greens...if they are going to eat it might as well do them some good right? the toothpaste though??? in need of minerals? Roseann Constanty wants to eat .... getting tired... eat toothpaste too Hi All, We are on nids protocal He is on Dr.G's diet . antiviral == valaclyovir antifungal --diflucan ssri paxil My constantly hungry and wants to eat all the time when he is at home. Guest guest
what kind of food is it that he is craving? starches, sweets? than it could be fungal. he also may be very mineral deficient. misty Constanty wants to eat .... getting tired... eat toothpaste too Hi All, We are on nids protocal He is on Dr.G's diet . antiviral == valaclyovir antifungal --diflucan ssri paxil My constantly hungry and wants to eat all the time when he is at home. Guest guest
Three possibilities I can think of: Some meds, especially antibiotics, can mess with your appetite and give you permanent munchies. Candida in the intestine makes you constantly crave food, especially sweet ones and carbs. It does this by lowering your blood sugar just below normal so you seek endless sugar highs to compensate. Too much stomach acid: Lyme can give you excessive stomach acid production, and the desire to eat is basically an instinct to protect the stomach lining. Dairy and fatty foods are the first coice of most people if this is going on, if you offer fruit or veg they'll say no. Finally, as already said, nutritional deficiencies. If there are certain foods always being asked for this could be the most likely explanation. My son has had ALL of these at different times! Taste your kid's toothpaste, if sweet, it could mean candida infection, otherwise, what else is in it? Hope these ideas help! Guest guest
Duh, I just read the meds list again! Diflucan can make you have a permanent gross taste in your mouth. If your kid has that the eating would be to try to get rid of the taste. That might explain weanting to eat the toothpaste as well, because the taste only goes away when you are actually brushing your teeth.
