, I'm so sorry that you are in pain again. Find a pain management clinic or a rehabilition clinic. They understand pain and have a totally different attitude about prescribing pain medication. I recently went through an incredibly difficult time with my back and went through a lot of doctors before I found help. I was on strong pain pills for the first time in my life but it helped me live through it. I had absolutely no problem going off of them once I was out of pain. (relatively, I mean) Hope you find some help soon. Hugs, Donna

jennifer - hello, another jennifer here, in florida. where do you live?

maybe you can ask here if anyone knows of a doctor/healer in your area. if

you do not want to take any meds look through the posts for what other people

are trying - topical estrace, nutritional sollutions, natural supplements,

ect ect . . . . .i wish i had answers for you - we are all here (pretty much)

cause we are still suffering

--- In VulvarDisordersegroups, Candace Craw-Goldman > Hi

I had a " vestibulectomy " as my doctor called it. Most of the skin

around the opening to my vagina was cut out. I had a lot of stitches.

That part is going fine. It's sitting that's the much bigger problem.

Thanks for asking!!

Thanks for the advice Donna. If I do not get relief from the

amitryptalyne and my dr is still stingy about pain meds, I will

pursue a pain clinic - thanks so much for the suggestion. Hopefully

they won't have a differnt attitude towards someone with VVS! The

irony is some docs consider Ultram totally harmless and it has zero

side effects for me!!

I just moved here from FL - I had my surgery there. I was in Tampa.

Now i'm in Boston and seeing a dr highly recommended by folks on

this list (Dr. ). As far as I can tell, she's

pretty much the only doc in Boston who even deals with VVS.

> are trying - topical estrace, nutritional sollutions, natural

supplements,

I'm just going to try one thing at a tim. First it was surgery and

now I'm going to give the Elavil and PT a good try. If those don't

help, then it'll be on to the next thing.

This is the most utterly ridiculous disorder. UGh. I am so sick of

it.

Thanks for listening!
