Susi, I got my wheelchair almost 3 years ago... Usually my walker is enough, but when worst comes to worst, I'd rather have the wheelchair than not be able to go out at all. It gave me freedom at a time that otherwise I would have been a prisoner to this illness. I'm just glad that there are options for us... I got me a walker with wheel's oh man it is the greatest thing on earth.. I don't half to pick up on it..to move around I just scoot right a long.. I still have a little bit of a problem using it in public place's I am just so worried about what other's say.. I know girl's stop yelling at me Hon if you need a wheel chair then get it.. any thing your doctor recommends you should at least try.. especially if you are trying to get on SSI or SSDI..
