Hi Kathleen,

Lymphedema is the accumulation of lymph fluid from the lymph vessels

which circulates throughout the body. The fluid contains bacteria

and other harmful things which is suppost to cleanse. I'm not sure

if I explained it very well. I'm not thinking straight right now.

Its easy enough to look it up on the internet if you are interested.

Poor circulation will cause the lymph fluid to pool in the lower

extremities causing swelling.
