Suggestion on how to give Mepron/liquids to texture sensitive kid

Just sharing a technique that works for me. My son can't tolerate liquid

meds/supplements but will swallow hadfulls of capsules all day long if required

(because neuropathy in his mouth makes soft and cold things hurt his mouth).

I've found that when he has to take something that only comes in liquid form

(such as Mepron) it works well to take a syringe, measure out the dosage and

then squirt the meds into empty capsules. The capsules need to be swallowed

immediately (within a minute or two of filling) or they begin to degrade and

become a gooey mess. But as long as I tell him, hurry up and take those before

they get gooey, he scoops them up happily because he only had to try the liquid

once to know that he doesn't want to do that again (anybody whose had to take

Mepron knows it's crazy nasty on top of the sensory issues it poses for our

kids.). Hope this helps someone <3

Health and Hope!
