I will have to agree. I have seen it many times over the same

issues/situations as you have. It just seems practical to have a

separate agency for 911.

Ours is. I was never there when dispatch was part of

the PD, but from things I've heard, we are a lot

better off now. We have our own budget, for one

thing, which has allowed us to get a lot of good

equipment and a much better comm center. Plus, the

higher ups we go to are focused on us. I agree with

you, this is the best way to go.
