Hi Limin,

Thanks for all the precious informations you are providing to all of us.

My son has the same problems since years. I never thought that it might be due to iron or zinc deficiencies (I always thought that it might be a habit, or a kind of auto-stimulation). I have been googling for zinc deficiency and did not have the impression that my son has it (also all what he eats contains zinc) but I think now that he may have iron deficiency.

My son has big gut problems. Is there any supplement or any treatment that could help him without causing more intenstinal issues?

Hi Neelam,

Both zinc and iron deficiencies can cause obsession of chewing or tasting non-food objects. Zinc and manganese can interfere with iron absorption from food and supplements, because all three minerals share the same absorptive pathways. I usually avoid supplementing iron, because it feeds gut bugs. But after my son had been on KPU protocol (high zinc) for a while, his old behavior of biting his shirt returned, and his ferritin was already low to begin with, I needed to supplement him with iron. He still bite his shirt sometime when getting frustrated, but the frequency is greatly reduced after taking iron supplement.

My son also cannot stay away from food. In our case, when needed we give him activated charcoal in the middle of the night.

I see from your list of things that you have anti-fungal and anti-viral covered. Perhaps run a Zyto scan to check on bacterial infections such as Strep and/or Bartonella, etc. Both infections can cause OCD.

How much BH4 does your child take? Yasko used to say that a little BH4 goes a long way; she does not recommend taking high dosage. BH4 helps with synthesis of dopamine and serotonin, but too much dopamine and serotonin in their feedback loop will come back to inhibit the production to cause their own deficiency.

Although there have been studies that indicate combined administration of secretin and oxytocin to reduce colonic inflammatory responses and help intestinal disorder, I would alternate nasal oxytocin and nasal secretin to observe the child, just to rule out that it isn't the combo or one of them causing the problem.

Sorry for the crosspost. I am desperate for helping my little boy and I apologise if you are seeing this more then once. My 7 year old is constantly talking. It could be about things he obsesses over or nothing just sounds. And he is giggling a lot. When asked he can relate why he is laughing which could be something which happened 3 days back or something which is not funny to me but knowing him is funny to him. It is really interfering in our life a lot.He can get very loud and out of hand with this at least few times in a day, almost to the point of being hysterical. It is a constant thing at lower volume throughout the day. He was mainstreamed before this all happened. Doing very well before this happened. We have tried everything from stopping all supllements to giving him SSRI's and nothing is working. Plus he is mouthing everything. In the past it was zinc deficiency

WOW Rita,

I was shocked to see the link. the langue with mild ADHD symptoms is exactly like the langue of my son. So many times I went to the pediatre, and he always told me that it is a kind of mushroom. Each time I learn something from this forum, i am getting so upset because the doctors (at least here) have not been able to put the right diagnose. We just loose time =(((

My son has eczema. Before the stem cell in germany (six months ago) he was itching his bottom much more, since the treatment he is better but not totally cured. Could it be due to zinc deficiency?

I dont see anything on his nails. They seem to be normal. but he does have two or three pimples (a little bit brighter than his colour) on his face (one close to his eye, since months or maybe more) one on his ear. They are small but have been there for a long time.

Have you gone through your clues:Does he currently have white spots on his nails (zinc issues if he does)? Limin,

I looked at Biopure the Core and find out that in Europe we use DEPYRROL.

Depyrrol was given to my son a month ago. We used it for a week, later my son

was so nervous and hyper. We had to stop it, because he was not controlable.

Have you seen the same sypmtoms with your child while using the Biopure the

COre?
