Oh Robin, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that you upset me. I was just upset with the situation. But you are right, even though this door opened (and we walked through), it may lead to another door. I just got off the phone with an ALF office on the opposite side of the country. To do the interior appliance - to spread both upper and lower palattes, then to secure with light braces afterward is about a year long process and 1/3 cost of OSB. Even with constant air travel - it would be significantly less. If it would keep the tongue forward then this would definitely be better than a bulky appliance.I just saw your direct email. I contacted you offlist via the homepage and am not sure how reliable that method is.

Possibly the palate expander is taking the place of the balance device by dealing with the source of the problem.. and the day device is being used to keep the tongue forward.

Not sure the ALF system and other expanders for the palate assist the tongue forward while one is expanding.. so it could all make sense..

The palate expander option was not an option given to me with my OSB therapy.
