I'm not shy but I have walls to guard myself, so I don't meet too many new people. When I do, it takes an awful lot before I let anyone in. Then you screw me once and you're gone.

Other than that, all my other friends have all drifted and then somehow blamed it on me because "I" don't do this, or go there or do that...Puh Leez!!! I have a handful. Several drifted after the divorce, even more drifted after I got sick, but I know the handful of "real life" friends that I do have are extremely loyal and will be with me forever.

Although lonely at times, I prefer knowing who will be there for me through thick and thin, as I would be and am for them.
