Guest guest
None of our officers have lost their portables, yet. We have this problem all the time over rural fire frequency though. Metcad gets the most upset over this. Just Christmas night we got a tyraid over the radio, don't know where it was coming from though. We just call our 5 rural fire chiefs and have them call around to see if anyone has lost a radio. There is probably 20 or so rural fire agencies on our 1 frequency though. (this makes for interesting listening when more then 2 agencies are out) All my chiefs called back to advise all of their radios were accounted for. Somehow (don't ask me how--this stuff is all over my head) they can program the radio to only come up on that channel. That way, we don't have to worry about anyone coming up on a regular channel and we might be able to recover the radio. ===== Kim I make a difference Tulsa, OK __________________________________________________
