This group does seem like family, and I don't know any families that don't have heated discussions once in awhile. I don't like name calling, but I guess that is part of life. The people that get " picked on " the most are the ones that try the hardest to help others. The " thank you " I receive from a sincere person can override any negative comment. I have enjoyed this group more than the others I've been on. I've learned a lot and I'm still learning. I hope to still be here when I'm in my 90's and as active and feeling as good as I do today and I expect each of you to be here also. In your case, you are teaching your daughter (at an early age) the importance of healthy eating/living. Keep up the good work. Guest guest
Well I like the group it has helped me alot if for no other reason than to just talk about this with other people who have the same thing no matter how they are treating or dealing with it. I don't mind squabbles or debates and things of that nature. We all know words can cut deep but the internet is a great place to find out if what you believe in you really stand for so I'm cool with it. ERWachter@... Guest guest
It has been 2 hours and I still haven't eaten the Ding Dong my grandson put on the counter for me! I have to have a serious talk with him tonight. He is almost 8 so should understand. He really is my motivation. But it is so hard when I am so tired and simple carbs perk me up so. Guest guest
My daughter (3 1/2) wants to give me sweets so bad she will press them up against my lips! How's that for temptation! At first she didn't understand, she would say " When I grow up I hope I will get diabetes! " But now she has a good grasp and knows that I can't eat too much sweets/snacks. " Poppa has to eat right because of diabetes! " she exclaims. It has increased her awareness of the importance of fruits, veggies and protein. > It has been 2 hours and I still haven't eaten the Ding Dong > my grandson put on the counter for me! Guest guest
It is good that she is learning, my kids are the same. They will tell me in a min. if I am eating something I shouldn't. Guest guest
I never did eat it! Was really good, but bg's looked like I had been really bad! Tonight, I splurged and had two mini-oreo cookies with about 1/4 cup of milk. One bite each and I savored them! Seemed to do OK. I talked to tonight about the fact that one of my 'conditions' is that too much or too little starch or sugar can make me really sick and I have to be careful not to eat sweets unless they are sugar free. He picked up on it right away and said he would be watching me and I am sure he will! wrote: > Good for you, now I would move it, lol. > > Co Moderator > Re: Thoughts about the list was " end > of list " > > > : It has been 2 hours and I still haven't eaten the Ding > Dong > : my grandson put on the counter for me! > > >
