Guest guest
I cannot believe how much harder this condition is as I get older. I have had this for I guess about 13 years but I can tell a huge difference in my ability now at 41 than at 30. I wish I could go back to teaching for at least 2 years to pay off our bills and get a decent car. I am scared! Kate > Kate: > > > > Fibro has been terrible on my finace's.. Guest guest
No it has been too long. Unfortunately when I quit working people were still thinking Fibro was in people's heads so no one would help me and now it has been almost 10 years. Somehow I know I am going to have to go back and teach but only Heaven knows how! Guest guest
Oh do I know this feeling. Although I work a full-time job and have decent health insurance, I still pay enough out of my check to the point where I bounce a lot of checks (sometimes on purpose, too, which is pathetic) just to pay for groceries or medication. My partner has 2 jobs and he pays most of the bills, but of course I help out because a lot of times he charges things and we have to pay off the cards. I know one thing: I will work until the day I cannot work any more. There is just no way at this point in time I could afford to live on disability or anything. It's so hard for me to get out of bed each day and it seems to be getting worse some days... I don't know. It's sad that this disease has us to the point of being totally broke, yet nobody wants to DO anything or research it enough to help us. What's going to happen to our children and grandchildren who get this? (God forbid, but i'm just saying) Will they be able to get help?? And then you have the MORONS who are on disability yet they work full time under the freaking table with no health problems at all until it's time to renew the qualifications. Grrrr. I hate those people. If you don't need disability, GET OFF IT, YOU LAZY ASSES!!! (sorry) That's gotta be my biggest pet peeve. And here, I walk with a cane a lot, and I don't even have a handicap sticker. *sigh* I'll shut up now, I'm getting carried away. lol. Love to all.
