Guest guest
Sundra, I totally know about bad finances! I am trying to apply for food stamps this week because my sons SSI check got cut. He is special needs, but, they have new guidelines on disability now, and now they say he is not severe enough, so they are not going to give me his check that I was relying on. (it was for $515 a month). I did, however, call local churches in my area and they have food pantries everywhere on different days, and they have food kitchens that serve a hot meal every day at a different location. When I thought of food kitchen, I thought no way can we expose the kids to them, but, they are nice churches with great food and tablecloths and dessert, and some of them wait on you like you are in a resteraunt, it sure helps me. The food pantries will give you quite a bit of food, it you go to 2 or 3 in the same week you can get pretty stocked up. That is the only way we can make it! Hope this helps! hugs Monika b. Re: RE:Finances Sounds like we are all in the same boat. It is just depressing but we have to hang on for better times. What are you getting a degree in? That is great that you are doing that for yourself. Ignore the bill meanies and just keep looking to your future. It will get better!
