Guest guest
Harrumph, Sorry, just working my way out of hibernation. As BDR can attest I vanish for the month of December. BUT, I do wake up on occasion and look at the computer. I only have one thing to add to his response about the $4000. The Village has an unwitten, at least I don't think it's in writing, rule that it will attempt to keep it's employees at about the 75% level in pay when compared with as specific list of nearby towns. Now if we chose the list you would expect we would be low. If the Village picks you would expect we would be real high. OOPS, thier list and we are, drum roll please, DEAD LAST. With the added $4000 and any Cost of Living raises we will move all the way up to, yep you guessed it, about 50% or lower. To add to our irritation we found out pothole fillers are better paid in our town. Just goes to show where we are in the grand scheme of things. Potholes annoy many every day. Dispatchers annoy a few and most don't bother to beef so why pay attention to them? Potholes are a matter of political life or death. Dispatchers are only holding a few lives in thier hands, besides if they mess up, dead people don't vote. Ok, I am yawning again so it's back into hibernation.
