Maybe what seems withdrawn to one person seems coopertive to someone

else. Some people would rather have them quiet no matter what the

reason behind it then have them a handful even if the quietness isnt

really a good thing. He may be getting sick. My boys get like that we

they get sick sometimes. You will probably know tomorrow if he wasnt

himself because of a cold.

I spoke to my mum about what Lillyanne had said and about

Well, Alison, he might store everything up for when he is not there.

Sometimes kids hold it all together until they get home, but I am suspicious

of the contrast between Lillyanne's and 's remarks. Sounds as if

either doesn't bother, doesn't notice or doesn't want to tell you the

full story? I would rather have the full story, I think.

Thanks Salli ,I've spoken to about stuff before. For example

Andy is still in diapers but the weren't putting any cream on his

butt ,so his skin kept breaking down ,also the nursery take the kids

out to local shopping malls and in the diary would put , " Andy

had a good day ,we went to Braehead " .Well that's great but WHY did

they choose that mall and not another and WHAT did they do there ?

Ever felt like you'tr banging your head on a brick wall????? In

theory diary/communication books between families and educators are

great but only if they are used PROPERLY .I want to know what my son

DID ,not just some banal *Andy had a good day* .It's not as if they

have many diaries in Andy's class to write .They're 4 kids (including

Andy) and 6 nursery teachers .

Odd that the reports are so different. Why do they make this so difficult?

I would write a note asking for a little more info. As far as the behaviors

go, Kep does the same sort of thing just before he gets sick. It may be

that. Lots of crap going around right now.

Alison,

Can you write a note back to saying something

like *just wondering because Lilyanne mentioned he had

an off day* or something on that line?

She isn't supposed to keep things postive..she is

supposed to let you know how 's day

went..positive or not!

I had that problem last year when 's teacher

would call me almost everyday and tell me was

having " problems " and that he was " coming down with

something " and maybe I should keep him home for a few

days. I'd wait ten minutes then call the school and

ask to talk to his aide, who would tell me how

was really doing. She never asked me to keep him

home.

So I guess it comes down to who you think is more

credible. You need to have someone who tells you the

truth, good or bad. Maybe you could arrange to observe

Andy in school? Do it so he doesn't see you and maybe

you'll get a better idea as to how he's doing.

{ A totally useful entry last week:

" A kind of rude day "

Okaaaaayyyyyyyyyy.......... DETAILS????

Jacquie}

What does that mean? That is beyond vague. I would hate that more

than if nothing was written.
