Guest guest
Lily,Generally speaking, zinc can be taken anytime of the day. It is better to take with meals or right after mealtime, as zinc can upset the stomach for some sensitive individuals. LiminHi, I just had a question. My son has just strated on P5P and Zinc. Our doctor has recommended P5P in the morning and zink in the evening. Is this Ok?By the way he had terrible reaction last night (I am thinking because we just started zink last night). He woke up screaming for about 1hr:( Many thanks LilyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Fri, May 21, 2010 1:46:57 AMSubject: Re: Re: High Amonia, taurine and GlutamateRobin,The most difficult part of a supplementation plan is to figure out dosage for individuals. There is no science for this; art should be called for. I would rely on yin state test of ART to figure out how much the dosage is to relax the body and bring about healing. And of course, always observe how one does on that dosage. It is hard to observe the effects of and reactions to B6 in order to adjust dosage, if you take it form B complex formula. This is Dr. K's recommendation: If B6 is used, take it in the morning. If P5P is used, take it at bedtime. In my son's case, I am still slowly increasing his B6 to test his tolerance threshold. He is about 55 pounds, and takes one capsule of The Core that gives about 20 mg of the combo of Pyridioxine HCl and P5P at lunchtime and another 50 mg of P5P at bedtime. I am going to increase The Core to 2 capsules to see how he does on this, and perhaps run P5P and B6 as balancer on Zyto scan as well.Hi group, if anyone has a good measurement to determine dosage, please do chime in. Guest guest
My daughter was having issues (nausea) with p5p and we had to stop... when we switched to PM before bed as Limin relayed Dr K suggests, much better. Guest guest
I am on that protocol and take 2 Core in the morning and 2 in the evening (plus one extra zinc low dose). Since the p5p and zinc are both in the Core, I don't see why it would matter taking them together. I take the GLA (or some people take Primrose oil) separate at lunch, and copper also. These need to be separate from the zinc. You have to be careful of copper deficiency when taking high doses of zinc. I would also think that 2 Core twice a day would be high for a child, since that is what I take as an adult. My doc muscle tests my dose, and I was tested as a high HPU/KPU. You also should start low and build up to see what his tolerance is. Taking zinc when you are HPU replaces the heavy metals that have replaced the zinc all this time in your cells. When you start taking it, you should be detoxing for heavy metals as well, or they just get kicked out into the blood and then deposit somewhere else. In my experience, it also stirs up the infections, since your body starts to work right. caryn  Hi,  I just had a question. My son has just strated on P5P and Zinc. Guest guest
Hi Caryn, Thanks for your response. I am new to all this so I have a few questions. 1) What is "Core"? 2) What is HPU/KPU and how do I find out if my son is high in these? In this case what to take to detox the heavy metals? We are not doing any detoxing, so I guess it could be a problem taking just zinc as you mention Thanks in advance Lily To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Tue, June 1, 2010 10:57:30 AMSubject: Re: Re: High Amonia, taurine and Glutamate I am on that protocol and take 2 Core in the morning and 2 in the evening (plus one extra zinc low dose).
