Guest guest
Bartonella gets the blame on the Lyme forums for jaw infections, bone pains, and rotting teeth. Interestingly, our family, full of Bartonella, didn't have any of those. Well, all the children's baby teeth rotted, but that's about it. I don't think most people treat bone pain as an infection, and just treat it with pain pills, and if in the older population, get hip replacement without ever looking for infection as the cause. It is well known that many in autism population have really bad teeth problems. I think it's a combination, not just Bartonella, but also the way their bodies metabolize calcium and other minerals. For example, my family tests low in calcium, yet our bones are healthy. Our bodies like to take calcium and other minerals from the teeth. This doesn't happen when we supplement calcium. It is said that pathogens living in the gums can do a alot of harm to the body since the mouth has a high blood supply, which allow them to readily enter the blood supply. I think the swollen veins are likely caused by pathogens and toxins, this is why many are relapsing. It could also be that the veins are weakened due to lack of nutrients. Thus, it's about making the body well. I am saddened that those who get surgery for this are often getting a return of the narrowing veins, but at least we now know the contribution narrowing capillaries and veins have to our deteriorating health. I do think that Lyme and other pathogens like to live in the base of the skull. As much as SPECT scans and such overwhelmingly show lack of blood flow to the brain in the autism population; the cause of this has not been discussed. Also, looking at the veins in the neck does not appear to being done. So, we should start looking at this. There is one popular doc who feels that the neck veins narrowing is the cause of autism. He blames vaccines as the cause of this. He is in Canada. Here is a link to/about him. Also Google his name and learn more. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=49414841277 Love and prayers, Heidi N > > Is there a high prevalence of jaw infection in the Autism population like there is in the lyme population? Guest guest
Heidi, For your family, did you find Resveratrol and Houttouynia to be the biggest Bartonella killers? Thanks, Bethany > > > > Is there a high prevalence of jaw infection in the Autism population like there is in the lyme population? Guest guest
Bartonella die-off can cause a lot of anxiety! They both worked well for us. We still have low levels of Bartonella. Four of my kids had OCD so bad that they really could do little else. These rid that, but I don't we are safe from a relapse. It took years. Cod liver oil helped as well, so did grapefruit seed extract (Nutribiotic brand). Lots of things helped. Only one of us got the stretch-mark Bartonella rash, and the homeopathy remedy, Nervous from Natures Sunshine, took that away. There is some indentation left on his skin, though. Not sure if that is permanent scarring or what. The Bartonella stretch-mark rash is indented skin, just like a stretch-mark. Luckily it's on his back and not somewhere else more visible. I still have pink moles though, and they are supposedly from Bartonella. You're not really going to get rid of a pleomorphic infections like Bartonella unless the body is healthy. We have slowly rid it, hoping to train the immune system to keep it in check. But, if you find a quick way, go for it. We just haven't. We did try the Bartonella series homeopath remedies with little results, so some remedies work and some don't. But yes, Resveratrol and Houttuynia worked for us, and can cause very strong die-off, which mostly was anxiety for us. My kids with OCD got worse with their OCD before it went away. I have one that claims socks itch him so I have to buy the thinner socks, but mostly we seem to not have Bartonella symptoms left. I think after using Resveratrol, we plateaued and then switched to Houttuynia, and then plateaued again, and then switched to this and that. Some docs say that the pleomorphic pathogens have a way of developing resistance. They suggest rotating or taking several things together. But, of course, you must work up. I also see suggestions to start with one thing at a time, and slowly for things that cause strong die-off. Most of the Lyme docs, even LLMDs are usually familiar with these herbal treatments. Guest guest
It seems those who get better then worse after CCSVI treatment (how did you treat BTW?) usually have more pathogens to remove from their body > > Is there a high prevalence of jaw infection in the Autism population like there is in the lyme population? Guest guest
I rid myself of a jaw infection through oil swishing everyday for two years. I did two years of 4 caps a day of resveratrol for bartonella which was all I could afford at the time. I have rifed for bartonella, then I did alkaline water and many of my red spots went away. A combination of resveratrol full dose, alkaline water and the raw food diet with no yeast feeding or bacteria feeding cheating may ahnialate bart. I had one huge red spot go away and then another red spot get bigger, like the colony banded together and moved somewhere else....Then I did cipro for two months for bartonella. I still have it. I guess next step might be the full on 4 caps 4 times a day of resveratrol, which I have the stuff for now, with alkaline and raw food but i don't think i can do all raw in the winter because it makes me cold and it is winter here. I did three months on The raw food diet and six weeks on a juice cleanse and now its winter i've been eating cooked foods again, while trying to work on decreasing yeast by taking candidaise, dyflucan and nystatin. I can't take dyflucan anymore. I am deciding what to do next. Possibly rotating in cipro. Possibly adding in rifing (but don't over rife this time). I feel it might be time for me to just move on to treating babesia and revisit bart continually later....or i could do the resveratrol. But I have an opportunity to take Mepron right now and could do that while we have the funds for it. I have definately put a dent in bart though, and it is my worst symptom and worst coinfection by far.
