We alternate between A & D lotion, fresh aloe, vitamin E oil, bag balm and tea

tree oil for skin problems.

When was kayaking or on conservation work crews, the leaders would

put neosporin on her against her will " for insurance reasons " .

Now that I have myasthenia gravis, there are two pages of medicines I

absolutely cannot take. Most of them are antibiotics. With my various

auto-immune diseases, I often feel like " the canary in the coal mine " . The

drugs, fluorescent lights, etc. are probably bad for everybody, but I'm the

first one to have a reaction.

Eunice,

Tea Tree Oil is an excellent cleaning product and is recommended in many

books written for people with environmental illnesses. You are right on

target there!

It also makes a good mouth wash mixed with a little water, a good

dentifrice mixed with a little baking soda and is good for " swimmer's

ear. " It is a miracle of nature.

Regarding the comment about cats and essential oils, I regard my animal

companions like I did my child, I keep anything hazardous away from them

because if they can get into trouble with something, they WILL!!! LOL!!!

In fact my cats are much more trouble to take care of than my son

was!!!! REALLY!!!

But you should never put the tea tree oil straight in the ear... always mix

it with another oil, it is too strong to use full strength in the ear...

Do you have a site or book you reccommend on making cleaning supplies. I am

really trying to change this entire houehold to a healthier cleaner place.

Also that could be a fun project for my son & I to do in conjunction with our

homeschooling.

Hi Sandy,

This is not Carolyn, but I'll reply. Tea tree oil can be purchased at

WalMart in the pharmacy section, around $5.00 a bottle. Also health food

stores usually carry it.

Carolyn,

Where did you buy yours? I've been thinking about buying some, as I read

that it's good on sore fingers, but I didn't find it at the drug store...

wonder if the health food store has it....

I use several sources most of them catalog. The lotion I used on him came from

an herbal coop.

What she says here about Melaleuca Oil (Tea Tree Oil) is very true. They

have found this essential oil to be beneficial in many ways. I would not

be without it in my home. I use household products that contain it also,

along with bath soap and shampoo.
