Just got my labs back. Not great but then again I eat (like pasta and

sushi) and drink (light beer) pretty much what I want. However, I ride

a

road bike very hard 4-5 days a week.

Cholesterol - 190, not surprised.

HDL - 50. Hoping for mid-50's.

LDL - 108. Hoping for < 100.

Trigs - 158, not surprised considering I had a bran muffin that day from

the

coffee vendor on the street that morning. I know they're loaded with fat

but

I like them. And no, I don't have them everyday.

Here's the clincher.

A1c - previously, in January, it was 7.1%. This time around, 6.5%.

Hooray

for me.

.

Type II, NYC, and in response to ages, I'll be 47 in two weeks.

Pretty much my own. Try not to overdo it on the carbs but it's hard to avoid

sometimes especially when you ride as much as I do.

In other words, I ride to eat and eat to ride.

You need to start taking iron supplements. people with low Ferritin find

taking 150-200 MG a day of elemental iron is what will move them up and

it still takes some time to get to optimal levels, several months at

least. With your severe adrenal fatigue I would only increase Armour in

1/4 grain doses, but you can do them more often, like 1/4 grain a week

and if that goes well just continue to increase till you get to three

grains then HOLD that for about 4-6 weeks to see where you are.

your fingers for me :)

I have no had to deal with low iron myself so I am at a loss to offer

even a brand suggestion, maybe someone else here has had success? If not

go to the NTH main group and ask there.
