Guest guest
I don't know if this is correct, but a couple of years back I ran across an article that claimed people with Thyroid Disease, gets worse at 3% ratio per year, in one way or another, even with meds, but it only mentioned t4 meds. I don't know if a study on just using armour or something similer has ever been done. For me, this does seem to be the case as one illnes after another has popped up only to be discovered it traces back to my Thyroid. Now I'm no expert. I have no idea if this is true or not. But it does make you wonder:} PS I ordered Armour from England last week! But I need some advice now on the night sweats I'm experiencing the last few months and getting worse. Since being Post meno, I have gone through heat flashes, uncontrolable bleeding, over the last 6 years, and now night sweats. Of course they are heavy duty night sweats, not even the air conditioner helps, so I get very little sleep. No insurance, no doctor, so keep that in mind when you reccommend something that might help. I don't want to use anything that will start me bleeding again ever! I went through that 2 years ago and it was awful and linked to my thryroid:} Doctor's words. Only explanation they could come up with after a battery of tests. A protocol of one month of birth control in various doses per day put an end to the bleeding... thank goodness. Ive been taking Nutri- Meds for about a year. Its not helping much anymore, Ive been thru quite a bit of stress the past couple months and my goiter swelled up again. I think the thyroid will eventually get worse no matter what you do...even non-hashimoto's tends to be progressive. But I need some advice now on the night sweats I'm experiencing the last few months and > getting worse. My excessive sweating stopped after Armour. Once you get the right dose, T3 generally " cures " the hyperhydrosis symptom. I too was skeptical about this, but I am no longer sweating like a pig or having the terrible hyper symptoms! So, once you get your armour and find the right dose for you you'll see an improvement in a few weeks. I think it took about three weeks for me, and I was not even optimally dosed. No amount of keeping cool does the trick I understand. Mine would be even worse if I took a nap during the day. I sweat excessivly day and night. Even though we finally have some warmer weather this week, that symptom has not returned. So, good news!

I really don't think I have Hashi's because there's no goitre, and I definitely don't have a problem with losing too much weight. Guest guest
Hi valerie I mean the disease progresses 3% every year. Now remember I have no idea if this is true or not, since thyroid disease in all it's forms is different for everybody. I wish I could find that article again, but I lost it on my other hard drive a long time ago. So please don't take my word for this... just something I read in a article by a doctor during my researching days. As far as I know he could be one of the many nutty doctors, that has no idea what he was talking about:] Thanks all for the suggestions on these night sweats. It's hard sometimes to know if it's thyroid or meno:} or both! Jewel Dartt --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
My understanding is as I wrote before. Cream forms can be assimilated through mucus membranes but not through the dermis. I use estriol cream on my face! Very good for wrinkles. While I was on the sublingual, I was getting something because my night sweats and hot flashes were fairly controlled. They returned as soon as I stopped the sublingual. But I was not getting estradiol and my estradiol/progesterone balance was waaaaay off. The sweats were never contolled on progesterone cream alone, but when on that alone, I did not have the terrible imbalance, weepies, depression, etc. I forgot to mention that estradiol can also be delivered through the skin patch. Guest guest
Hi Jewel, I read this info. somewhere too and it was talking about the synthetics. I was having bed sweats too when I was hypo. Once I got to the right dose of Armour, they went away. Guest guest
Thanks for the info Zina. I hope Armour does the same for me:] I have been trying the vitamin e in the meantime while I wait for my armour to get here. To soon to tell if it is helping yet. The hrt's black cohash, progestion are things I have tried in the past with very little results except bad ones. My system can't seem to take any of them very well.
