Have you tried any of these? Sheila

Hi Carolyn, Me too! My hobby is saving money or getting something for nothing. Last week, I bought CD-R's for hubby and a new mouse pad for me. Both are free after rebate. When shopping for clothes (and I had to buy new clothes top to bottom, inside and out, after losing weight.) I never buy anything unless it is marked down 50%, I prefer 75% with at least an additional 15% off that price. Everything I buy using coupons or on sale items is used. If I buy something for very little money or for free and I can't use it, there is always someone that can. Homeless shelters, homes for abused women, etc. Eunice

Guest guest
Ken I am a coupon aholic. I cut them like a tazmanian devil. No one wants to be behind me at a check out. My point! I shop where we get doubles to a $1 mostly. I use the coupons to try anything at least once. If I find something I really like then I hoard the coupons and watch for sales to stock up. I always get my favorites for half or less that way and my tryouts are not a total loss either if I didn't like them. Guest guest
But if you are low-carbing, skip the salsa and add the butter and maybe a little sour creme - it has carbs. Also alot of salsa had sugar added, so I can have a little, but more than a couple of tsps makes my blood sugar go up. Of course butter has zero carbs, but if you're eating a baked potato, you have already had alot of carbs anyway. It is surely a mixed can of worms. You have either got to be low carb and high fat or low fat and high carb, but for diabetics the high carb can be deadly. > >Reply-To: diabetes >To: <diabetes > >Subject: Re: Potatoes (WAS: Re: to Ken) >Date: Sun, 28 Apr 2002 19:16:29 -0400 > >Better yet skip the sour cream and butter and heap on some salsa of your >choice. Guest guest
Ken, Try the Worcestershire sauce that Dave suggested. I'm anxious to see who else likes that. I might beat you to it, tho....I dunno. I'll letcha know if I get one. Gonna do that W sauce thing with it. Lynn -=needing lunch!=- > I have to get a potato first. That will be Saturday. Guest guest
I guess the trick would be to find out where the carbs come from and avoid that ingredient. But the garlic would definately X out some bad stuff for all it's good properties if there is enough in there.
