Guest guest
I thought that these articles might be timely for some, as they cover many facets of hyperammonemia, and ammonia in the brain. I don't know if you would try this without a drs approval, but when Mike was little and his ammonia level and other toxins were really bad, I used milk free branched chain amino acids and thiamine to calm things down. His resting heart rate at age 4 was 120-I kid you not. The BCAA brought it down into the 70s.If tyrosine and tryptophan metabolites are adding to the rages, this will help because it binds aromatic compounds crossing the blood brain barrier. Mike was always low in thiamine when certain symptoms showed up-I think this is all too common in candida and lyme infection. He would be drawing little stick guys with happy faces and if you asked him what they were doing, they were all killing each other. This is really frightening in a six year old. Thiamine stopped that in 24 hours. Molybdenum, Dmae B6/magnesium were all important for him, but thiamine and BCAA stopped the rages. Be careful of protein overload in kids with high ammonia or tryptophan issues. If the gut bacteria are not right and you are killing things too fast without support, ammonia can get pretty high. The headaches and mood swings are not pleasant to deal with.Hope This HelpsJeanhttp://planetthrive.com/2010/12/the-alkaline-brain/http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/944996-overviewhttp://emedicine.medscape.com/article/944996-overviewhttps://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v & q=cache:Vsloc02U8B4J:downloads.hindawi.com/journals/ecam/2011/612023.pdf+hyperammonemia+herbs & hl=en & gl=us & pid=bl & srcid=ADGEESg8y2PlAsjeXQ8ulCQp-mP6aA1Mmv79e-1-19vCE4mUMXSpk2BQxowQ6AYCJs-fm9vPmwAXAbY3g5e3sDLRzSYEsrkjnxcuC1RvP1_bOu49dHFS84cliep6F9S8jV3d1G4JUg5_ & sig=AHIEtbT9fEBaQaouW3x7gVms7Hzc4taoPQ & pli=1Subject: Re: Re: Motrin for Inflammation and AKG for high AmmoniaTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Saturday, June 25, 2011, 10:13 PM Fransel and Deborah,My sons seems so much like your kids.I appreciate everything you post I am going out to buy the goldenseal right now Deborah. My son has untreated closridia. He has had it since two trs. old and docs only prescribe acidopholisis. My son goes crazy on them just like your child Deborah. Thank You so much for all your help,Tammy F. Fransel, I have been reading your posts and my heart breaks for you, I am in the same situation you are but my son is only 11 and reading your posts scares the daylights out of me. My son has suffered severe stress response rages for for almost 7 years, started after two weeks on sporonox. Each time his rages get worse i check stool tests and a strain of clostridium shows up (not C. diff, a diff strain), we cant seem to get rid of it and the treatments for it make his rages worse, unbearable. I have recently been doing goldenseal as sac boulardi and culturelle make the rages unbearable but the goldenseal brought the severity down like 80%. Have you looked into clostridium? warmly deborah > > She sounds very thorough. My Lyme doc. is very thorough also, but my > child could not handle all the neat treatments she has to offer.
