I am so sorry Fransel. How are YOU doing? We have had several professionals

also suggest a group home setting for my eldest so that we may safely continue

with treatments. I sometimes wonder if I am being selfish keeping her at home

and not continuing with treatments as aggressively as I could be. Prayers and

blessings to you and . You are both in my thoughts.

Sincerely,

Kim

wondering how you can continue treating while a child is in a group home? I cant imagine anyone else would give a child all the supplements and meds that parents do.

Have you considered stopping most of the meds and supplements since he could be reacting to one or many and then trying homeopathy? My son has terrible die-off behaviors from antibiotics, etc.

raged this morning. We are in emergency room hospital. Might be a 72 hour hold. Weird how he is so calm. Looking at group home now so we can treat and be safe. Fransel

My experience with such placements is that they not only won't but

can't give anything that is not specifically prescribed and detailed in

writing by the primary care physician of the individual, and purchased

through the local pharmacy. So if you have your pcp on board with

everything you are doing/using, and can purchase all the remedies

through your local pharmacy, they will be required to follow through -

though how meticulously may be up for question. Good luck! Sara

Please see if they can do an EEG. It can be seizure related, which is what

we're dealing with. When my son's meds are at optimal levels he's fine, when he

outgrows his dose, he has rages.

I hope things resolve for you soon.

Fransel,

I am so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with your son.

Perhaps it wil be wise to try to give him one thing at a time to see how he goes

with it.

In my experience with my boy when I introduced a few supplements at once he had

a bad reaction but I could not guess what it was, but with time I learnt that it

was better to try one supplement at least for a week to see how he would react

and that way has been working for him very well.

Also homeopathy could be another alternative to look into as he may not react as

badly as with supplements.

I wish things get better soon for your family.

Fransel,

Have you checked your son's cholesterol? I read an article from Dr. Forrest

health where he mentions that low cholesterol is the cause for violent and

aggressive behaviour, suicide and unintended injury in people.

I know that kids with autism lack cholesterol and that why it is important to

either supplement it or give as much natural foods that contain the good

cholesterol like raw organic butter, eggs, chicken and meat fat etc. as possible

I have noticed that since my 11 years old have been having raw organic butter he

is better in lots of areas and have also put weight on, he loves to put butter

in all his foods.

I think it will be worthwhile to check.
