5.1 2001/10/30 23:56:16 33.503N 116.520W 14.2 15 km ( 9 mi) ESE of Anza, CA

Pretty good one. It was followed a few minutes later by a 4.8 aftershock.

Folks out by Palm Desert - if they're awake - are probably looking around and

breathing a sigh of relief. :)
