Guest guest Posted October 31, 2001 Report Share Posted October 31, 2001 Nirvana is in sight. Full staffing! Our newest dispatcher started training with me last week. She's a keeper. Ever have someone walk in who just fits in? Enthusiastic enough but not annoyingly so? Enough initiative to want to jump right in but not recklessly taking off on her own? Well, that's her. Twelve weeks is the 'model' for our on-the-job training. By Christmas holidays, she'll be on her own and Falls Church will be at full staffing in dispatch. The city also hired two new officers for sworn positions, bringing us up to full strength, then dismissed an officer. We're still in the best staffing condition I've seen in lots of years. Always take good care of yourself and yours, Calls occur randomly... all at the same time!
