" " How many hours a week would you expect to devote to this position? " From there, the questions vary, depending on the position. Since our communications/dispatch supervision is rolled into another position, we don't have use a lot of questions that are specific to communications. We also do something called an " In-Box Exercise " (separate from the interview) when testing for a supervisory position. It is a tough test...but also very effective in showing how a candidate prioritizes tasks and what things he/she would delegate. Good luck...if you really want to be a supervisor, I hope you get the position. Janet Bettag LSLPD Lake Saint Louis, MO Department email: lspolice@... Personal email: MsJBettag@... Guest guest
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you that sent me questions, suggestions and even those that asked me " what the heck are you thinkin " . The questions were awesome, and really put me to thinking and I realized how much I didn't know about what my supervisors do, and what things I did know that I didn't realize I knew!!! Again, thanks to all. This has been a great learning opportunity. JoEllen Kimmel HCSO
