All you can really do about that without meds is get up and run around the block, LOL! You sound like you're in good control. I think your glucose reads and HbA1c look good, Judith. How are the rest of your numbers (HDL, triglycerides, etc.)? Susie

Hi Snowy, At what time does your dr want it to be 170, 2 hours after eating, fasting, etc? I don't understand him wanting it to be this high, but I don't know what is going on with your body nor am I your doctor. I would assume he has a reason for this. If you are uncomfortable with what he has told you, you can get a second opinion. Eunice
Guest guest
Gee 170 is way too high, what is your Dr thinking, I dont even use insulin unless my BS goes above 150 Phyllis BG levels I myself am confused. I thought my BG was good when it was around 120, but no my Dr. wants it at 170. I weigh 220, am female and confused. He wants me on a 1700 calorie diet, I thought this was high. I have no diet plan I am just kind of out here all alone. At one time my BG was at 600 took months for it to come down, wasn't until he put me on Avandia plus glucophage that it went down..plumet I should say. I was getting readings of 40. So he took me off the Avandia and I leveled off. Snowy

Guest guest
Did he say why he wanted you at 170? That sounds like the one doctor I got rid of who said if I kept at 250 I was doing fine. As long as I kept it even! --- snowylake09@... wrote: > I myself am confused. I thought my BG was good when > it was around 120, but no > my Dr. wants it at 170. Guest guest
Is your Dr an Internist, or a Diabetes Dr, if not I think you need a new Dr Phyllis Re: BG levels In a message dated 4/25/02 8:26:17 AM Central Daylight Time, phyllis@... writes: > Gee 170 is way too high, what is your Dr thinking That's what I was thinking too. Guest guest
Your doctor should be shot if he is telling you that you should be at 170. Ok maybe thats a little drastic, but he should at least learn about diabetes and what glucose levels are normal. GET A NEW DOCTOR !! NOW!!! > I myself am confused.
