Hi ,

I've never noticed Benadryl causing my BP to go up. I will go to the

pharmacy Fri and get something. Just in the last 3 or 4 years have I had

problems. And we are surrounded by trees.

I can't take Benadryl cause it runs my BP up. I take prescription Zyrtec.

As for something over the counter try something with Chlorpheniramine in it.

Chlortab is one of them. Hope you feel better.

Every year my allergies/hayfever or whatever it is, are getting worse.

Today

I have had a headache, watery, red eyes and sneezing. Do any of you have

this problem and what do you recommend I get to take. I know Benadryl is

good, but it puts me to sleep and I have too much to do to take naps during

the day. I'll probably take a Benadryl tonight, though.

It does ??? Aww, geezzz .... I used generic Benadryl last night (caplet

form) to help me sleep. Here I went and used that, on top of the food

no-no's I did. No wonder I felt like a zombie in pain when I got up this AM.

HI Eunice,

This is what I do. :-) I get the kids benadryl. The clear sugar free

liquid. I then use only 1 teaspoon. That is for a 3 year old I think.LOL

but that little bit helps me sleep and totally unblocks my nose. If I

take an adult benadry tablet im so tired the next day that even my super

coffee wont wake me.

Eunice I get any of the no name brands. They don't seem to affect my

sugars up or down.

I am allergic to grass and trees. Benadryl may not make everyone's BP go

up, it sends mine soaring.

It may not run everyone's up. I know it does mine. Just watch your BP if

you have problems with it and see if it does or doesn't.

Eunice, my allergies are awful. My eyes are so swollen and weepy. Tylenol

cold or sinutab work great for me. Try the non-drowsy fromula. But, you can

never tell. One may put me to sleep, the other not. I think it is an

individual thing. The pollen is so bad this year, because of the early very

hot weather. I think it is around 85 here in NC and this is only May. What

are we going to do in August?
