Guest guest Posted May 20, 2010 Report Share Posted May 20, 2010 Since my son is on so many vitamins and supplements, I decided to test them to see if the capsules are really breaking down and being absorbed or just passing through him. I'm not sure where I read about this test but wanted to ask this group since you are so knowledgeable! You drop each capsule into 1/2 cup of white vinegar and time it for 15 minutes. Is this a good test method? Is 15 minutes long enough? I've also heard that gelatin caps tend to dissolve more readily than veggy caps, so I'm also keeping track of that and looking for a trend.
