Guest guest
" The Times They are a Changin " . Bob Dylan, That's for the Heidi Zimmerman. Just got back from a check up for . I had to share words from 's family doctor......... In September 2002 this man calmly told me that in his opinion 's condition was PERMANENT. He said the head had been moulded from positioning and would never revert. (Back to Sleep) <<<<<<Flash Ahead to June 20, 2003.............Here is exactly what the doctor said to me today.......... " I am truly pleased that you persisted and followed your gut. is truly fortunate to have dedicated parents who would research and locate treatment. The committment of 23 hours a day for 7 months has truly paid off. In my opinion, the helmet is responsible for his round noggin. If it were not for his helmet his head would never round out. You should be proud. " He went on to tell me that he did a presentation on Plagiocephaly with all doctors within our local community(25). He told me that he was at first a skeptic but now truly a believer. He advised that he would prescribe helmet therapy in a heartbeat in the future if repositioning showed no results.............. Off the record, I was advised that he has already referred a patient for a review/assessment. I thought I would share this little story. He has been a doctor for 25 years and his opinion on plagio has been changed. What I repect is his ability to admit that doctors are just " Practicing " medicine. I think we should all ponder that thought........All doctors have is knowledge and opinions, sometimes they are wrong........It should also be noted that is why there are specialists because a regular family doctor knows a little about most things where a specialist is suppose to know a lot about whatever they claim to specialize in.....
