Guest guest Posted July 23, 2002 Report Share Posted July 23, 2002 Well I weighed today and I was 311. My goal for the end of July is 310 so I think I will be there by next week. I'm losing a little slower now... about 2 pounds a week, which is good. My doctor said that I had better slow down a little because I have lost from 378 to 311 since the middle of April... thereabout... My next goal is to be 299 by the end of August. There is something about going from the 300s to the 200s that I am really looking forward to. I've been 300 'n something for a long time now so it will be nice to pass over that hump. I wanted to say also that I would LIKE to use a new lancet each day but really can't afford it. My arthritis doc told me to be extra careful because I am on immunsuppressive drugs and I could get an infection with a needle easier than most folks. But all this diabetic stuff is so expensive. Anyway... just wanted to let you know how I was doing on my diet. I think I forgot to even tell you last week because it was such a busy week for me. Wanted to share one last thing. I steamed fresh asparagus tonite and it was perfect. And that is a first. I usually OVER cook it and can't eat it... so this was just right. While it was hot, I brushed the asparagus with extra virgin olive oil (just a little) and sprinkled on some lemon-pepper seasoning.. It was SO good. I ate about 10 of them. I hope more people share their menus. I get a lot of good ideas from your guys. Like CHEESE CURDS. I am gonna talk to my grocer about those things. I love cheese anything... so I bet I'd love them.
