I am in ER getting tetanus shot. Lyme doctor will call in 2 kinds of ABX at Rite Aid for 2 month treatment. Yes skin broke. My son very angry kicking and broke almost all dishes while crying. We have to put him on something fast whether ABX or behavior meds. Life in my house not normal and not safe for other son. Your son probably has PANDAS. My son also attacked me and bit me. Get on a high dose of azithro 10mg/kg daily! Find a good PANDAS doc. What state are you in? You can also add a steroid burst and you need to consider IVIG.

Do not get a tetnus shot for yourself. They do not work and are very bad for you! They also contain mercury. You do not need anything. If it gets infected then go on an antibiotic or you can just take a precautionary antibiotic. Your son is sick and needs medical help. www.pandasnetwork.org

have you ever tried the azithro with your son? Is there another ABX that's helped him in the past. Aggression and biting is usually a bacteria or pain issue here.My daughter was on biaxin and it must have been attacking something in my daughter's body but not quite killing it. we had to use azithromax to kill what ever it was so she could feelbetter and her behavior also got better. I'm sorry i don't remember if things just started getting really bad in the last month or so and what exactly were you doing as far as treatments? Maybe something will click for one of us so we can help you. Also remember it's a full moon which can make everything so much worse.

If the valium will get you thru until you can figure out what's going then that's a good thing.

i agree with whoever suggested zyto. It's helped us figure out what was happening during times like this.

Before my son attacked me he was covering his eyes and ears with hands over his head. I noticed that his jaw had flickering movements like there were critters under his skin. Often when having a PANDAS rage the eyes will become dialated and the kid will look panic stricken. My son has PANDAS but no tics. Tics are a very good sign of PANDAS. My son did have a vocal tic.....would make a weird noise many times throughout the day.

You may have answered this, and I apologize if its already been covered, but I've been reading your posts, and I can't help but ask if your son has been tested for food allergies? My son (11, AS, PANDAS) is on a dairy free/egg free diet and has been for years. There is no doubt that casein and egg aggravate him, and wreak all kinds of havoc behaviorally when he ingests anything with either.

My son has vocal tics like weird vocalizations, lots of rocking, facial tics with jaw dropping, hand flicking, non verbal, weird handwriting where he traces letters over and over, his drawings are repetitious and dark turning paper into one big blot of ink.Lyme definitely exacerbated his autistic characteristics. It sounds like your son may also have PANDAS. My son has slowly backslided the past several years not knowing it was PANDAS. I would try to find a PANDAS doc and start getting him treated as it can get worse and worse till it's dangerous for everyone. Monocycline is good for pandas and lyme
